That’s probably a weird cosplay… again. I feel like I’ll never do a proper Shilo cosplay. xD Back in June I didn’t have a wig and now I lost my proper gloves and since we took pictures in a rather filthy place I didn’t want to put my high textile boots with heels on. And the wig is weird. And one dress is mine, not Shilo’s. And I felt so cold I was beyond the point of caring how I look. I quite like the result anyway. xD Make-up by marinapa once again and photos by urusaiyo. :* Also, I need a Graverobber! Where do I find one? xD
It really never ceases to amaze me how awesome actors the Russian production has, both first cast and the second cast. I mean, I could see any of the second cast people doing the role regularly. So big props to whomever took care of castings there. I have to say, there’s something about the Russian Sarahs I don’t usually see (except for Raili Raitala and maybe Marjan Shaki).
Anyway, I didn’t know it was possible to actually dislike Serfred. :D Then again, everyone has their favourites and dislikes. But I’d have thought he’d have plenty of fans. I can’t explain what it is about him, but he’s just so…Alfred,more than Georgy is. Not to say that Georgy is really bad, but I don’t get the same feeling from him. Georgy might be technically a better singer, but Sergey seems to put more emotion and power into his singing, which - at least for me - can make all the difference in the world. Like I said, Sergey just has that mix of vulnerability and strength (and personally I don’t often get that from Alfreds).

We have yet to see Sarah of the third cast, mind you. Although I think Vera has a spot in my heart no one else can take, her Sarah is just so… me. Personally, I prefer our understudies obviously since they’re in my dreamcast. I just can’t understand Lena’s Sarah at all and Georgy’s Alfred seems… well, dull to me for lots of reasons. God, I’m gonna be crucified for this but given how passionately my friend and I tried to explain our preferences yesterday it doesn’t seem like I have anything to lose. xD
On the matter of Alfreds - I think I actually liked Heller’s Alfred more than Serfred (they’re quite alike to me in terms of how I think they understand the part, Sergey just needs to sharpen his acting), but needless to say I’d never get why others can’t see how moving and eager to learn he is. He’s not just that “oh I’m such a poor shy kid” kind of Alfred. As my friend put it, actually, he understands that he’s no hero just as well as he understands that no one else will do what he has to do. I think it shows the most when he plays with Vera, tho, ‘cause Lena and Sergey are too different. As of now he really doesn’t seem to have lots of fans, he still gets startled by attention, like he doesn’t expect anyone to call his name at the SD, especially bearing gifts. :)

The joys of fangirling… Okay, those are pretty much the highlights of what I finally received: some Gizmo keychains, the Evenstar pendant, the One Ring (doesn’t really look like it but given its price I’m more than happy with it), the Corpse Bride keychain and obviously the dress. I know it doesn’t really look like Sarah’s (it does have a very nice ribbon, tho xD) but it’s the best match I could find and, surprisingly, I like it. Plus, there are so many variations of her ball outfit by now that I think my dress will pass. No make-up or anything on me, I’ve just tried the dress on.
